in craners world the bootcut never went away. i hate them.

This is because Robert Evans is better than Feargal Sharkey, or something -- and, also, obviously, you fuck.

it's not accurate to say that nutella is totally absent

you can get it in most grocery stores (around here anyways) and it seems to have a following

probably right about the peanut hegemony tho

Did you freaks know that peanuts aren't even nuts? They're legumes! That's some crazy shit. Imagine putting chickpeas in a chocolate bar.

Hence goober peas and all that. I reckon they should be renamed nutpeas.

I love the parallel conversations going on in this thread, it's wonderfully dada if you read the posts sequentially.

Trousers should be straight or taper towards the ankle. I don't even mind baggy pants, but the way flares and bootcuts flap around as you walk looks stupid. I guess if you're wearing them with proper big boots then they look ok, so Mistersloane gets a pass on this one. Huge late 90s baggy jeans could come back, but too many "squares" still wear bootcut jeans now, so they haven't even gone away yet.

I looked at my jeans and I'd inadvertently - through being a short arse and just stepping on the backs of my jeans too much - done kinda the inverse of that cutting the side of your jeans to get them to flare thing that was big wit the scallies before flares came in proper, and I thought "cutting the back of your jeans, now, that hasn't been done yet". To my knowledge. And it looks great with boots. High at the back, low at the front, so they don't flare, they just sort of sit. But without the studenty thing that frayed-bottoms-of-jeans imply. I hope, or who am I kidding.

Do 'squares' in Liverpool still do bootcuts? It's pretty straight leg down here, frayed and with them weird patterning from washing-before-bought that's still all the rage if you want to get laid by women who look like they should be in FHM.

Even* my barber was talking about wanting a pair of DMs though, This is England is gonna have some serious repercussions on the fashion front.

* I say 'even'....my barber is the coolest looking person I know.

By squares I mean regular people who DGAF about fashion or whatever, they still wear bootcuts up here. And they have the weird patterning thing that you mention as well. Most smart/suit trousers are still sold with a slight bootcut tho, aren't they? It's a bastard to find ones that taper in.
