Cover versions that you prefer to the original

After I said you were being sarcastic it occurred to me that you're the only one on here who has actually seen Leadbelly play live in the flesh so I did wonder if you just knew something I don't, in short, if you say he was a bit too polished then I will bow to your superior knowledge.

I prefer it to the originbal, just seems to go somewhere else, do something else.

But the original is great as well, heard it on here first, from Craner

might be sacriliegious to say but i got bored of rashad and his crew after a while with their soul sampling tracks. i love all the originals, stevie wonder, jagged edge, etc, but they werent the most interesting samplers.

an obv choice - sinead o connor's nothing compares to you. ive heard all of the prince versions (the best one is prob a 1984 solo version he did, the live 90s versions suck, the version by his pet project the family also sucks). was reminded of how good her version is after all the recent stuff ive read about her new memoir.

i think i might actually like the beck and timbaland version of diamond dogs over the bowie one (or equal to).
k-ci hailey's version of if you think youre lonely now is better than the bobby womack one.
also,Siouxsie and the Banshees' dear prudence>>>the beatles one
i never liked the pixies that much tbh but i do like the new cover of where is my mind by Tkay Maidza

footwork is a bit one trick, i don't really listen to it regularly. it's like screwed and chopped in that regard. you can get totally hypnotised and then forget about it forever.
