Know next to nothing about going out in London but I'll be in the audience :).

If all else fails, try The Others in Stoke Newington.

patricide not gigging much lately? should we expect a studio album then? :)

thanks for The Others...

I think with The Victoria he means the same place Baboon mentioned above which is on Queensbridge Road near Parkholme Road.

I was interested in booking The Others recently and emailed a friend who had recently played there - his reply put me off (I´m sure he won´t mind me quoting him)

hello, sorry for the late reply.yes i dind perform there.
i donno the owner directly, anyway he is a cunt.
he could all the time tell you to turn down your music.in my case he pretended as a sound man, he cant do the sound tho,and he forgot to turn on the monitor for my show and he was away from the desk during the performance when i tried to get him sort it out.as soon as we finished the show he tried to kick all people out from the venue,he checked my bag without asking me as if i stole any leads.its ashame, everything is nice there.but the owner is horrible.
anyway, he is a cunt and i dont think good idea for you to have your nite there.....

Let's Talk About Ceps
I had a great night (edit: yep, Sud Electronic, that was it) in the Shacklewell Arms a couple of years ago. Very strange place, it's a club and pub in one - the club was playing pretty decent Berlin techno, nice crowd (mainly but not totally white, IIRC), plenty of girls, most people weren't particularly monstered - while the pub at the front (or back?) is run and mainly patronised by West Indians. You could dance in the club and then chill for a bit in the pub with a Dragon stout or rum and coke, good soundproofing meant that the reggae, ragga, lover's rock etc. on the PA in the pub wasn't drowned out by the techno...just a wonderful place. Ought to go back there at some point. No idea what their policy regarding guest DJs is though.

Rich, you were at that night, weren't you?

Yeah, I was at that night, (it was Sud) and it is a good call. I think that late in the night they stop cross-pollination between the pub and club though - the locals get pissed off with gurning wankers treading on their toes I guess. Well worth trying that place for the kind of night you´re thinking of though - not sure whether or not Sud put in their own system though, you might want to check. It´s really hard to organise this from a different country I think - good luck.

Yeah it depends on whether he likes you or not, and on how many people you get, how much he thinks you're wasting his time etc, he's been like that with friends of mine but always been Ok to me, if you ask him how he is etc make smalltalk he takes it well. I was like that when I was running a venue as well, so I sympathise with his situation I guess.

Patricide are on hiatus due to mental illness and heroin lol, we mostly played in squats aside from the gallery I was involved with but that's gone now, and so have the squats. Might be a retrospective out later in the year, concentrating on solo stuff at the moment, release on cassette in the next coupla weeks.

may be useful if i posted my bio up here... is that vulgar according to your anti self-promotion sensibilities? well i just really want to do this trip, which NEEDS to at the very least finance itself, and besides a couple of solid bookings in Dublin i have nothing finalized in England so far...

so it might help if you know a bit more and if you happen to chat to someone... or even copy and paste in an email. the following is the email i've been sending out... mucho grassy ass in advance! i really want to get drunk with some of you after talking shit with you all for what? more than 6 years now????

Wild Horses
Ive never actually made it to one of their dances but Hipsters Dont Dance aparrently put on good parties with a variety of stuff (http://www.hipstersdontdance.com/) so you could try them - hipstersdontdance@googlemail.com

Otherwise i think Secousse would definitely be worth hitting up. Gabriel heatwave might be interested, bit of a remove from them but could see your sound fitting their dances...

Do honest jons run any nights as they might be good ppl to get in contact with.

Hope some of that helps, be sure to put up any info on what you get planned as would be good to come along.

I'm confused - on the other thread you say you will be playing at the Brazilian club on the 25th - which is it?
