Dancehall 2011

Heard this on 1xtra earlier this week, and the appearance of a Hall & Oates thread today reminded me of it:


I suppose the 80's revival was going to reach dancehall eventually. (That is, the revival of mainstream 80's sounds, as opposed to 80's dancehall a la Wayne Smith/King Jammy.) For all that 'dancehall x 80's pop/yacht disco' sounds like a bad idea, this is insanely catchy, and I can see it being absolutely huge given the right push, in a 'No Letting Go' or 'Hold Yuh' crossover kind of way. (It's dated April 2011, but I presume a UK release is imminent if 1xtra have started playing it.)
