social distortion + the adolescents - Orange County (fullerton specifically but everywhere in the O.C. is awful) // actually there are a ton of great hardcore bands from abysmal places but I think most of them are too obscure for people here to know

also wasn't dj ss/foundation records from some lame place in the midlands?

devo were from Akron, which indeed sucks. the deal sisters (breeders) are from Dayton, which also sucks. pere ubu (+ bone thugs) are from Cleveland, which is actually pretty cool/underrated/not a shithole.

I dunno zhao san diego ain't so bad. at least compared to the O.C. or the Inland Empire or Lancaster or any of the other truly awful places in the festering tumor that is Socal. it is super sunny tho definitely not the place for anguish or despair.

I'm pretty sure Steve Gurley is from north of the Watford borders but I can't specifically remember what shithole it is, it's south of Zed Bias and Milton Keynes at least. Also Matt Jam Lamont and Smokin' Beats are from Luton. Which is funny because you could be forgiven for thinking the latter come from New York judging by the style of their beats
