Well, not much to say about this but she just smashed the charts here in Japan.. Ludicrous J-pop. Not the usual fare around here, I know, but some of you might get a kick out of the videos at least.

It's not that unfathomable though, is it? With say the Ponponpon track, it's a pretty straightforward pop track with some genius bits of production, with an extreeeeeemeeeely surreal video, which is often very funny. It's quite out there as pop culture but I'm not sure it's so different, it's just quite extreme.

It's really full on, isn't it? Like being hit round the head with candy floss. I just laughed and laughed all the way through it, wishing I'd beeen really stoned when I saw it for the first time. It's like Ren and Stimpy.
It'd be amazing if she went global, it's kinda time really, makes Minaj and Gaga look like wannabes!
