Anyone else have a favorite 100 list? @version do you have one? I finally just put mine together, probably need to tweak it a bit.

This list is more about personal favorites, rather than what I think would be the top 100 films I've seen, in terms of significance/influence.

made mine a while back (not a 100 though, and the order seems weird, but maybe that is what i chose) -

I could do a list of 100 films easily. I don't know what @version is on about. At least 50% of mine would be Italian and released between 1959 and 1982. None of them would be French.

As Clinaman says, you could do a list of the 100 most impressive/interesting films you'd ever seen or you could do one of films you actually feel like you could watch repeatedly and experience emotions

As much as I enjoy a bleak disquisition on the futility of existence I tend to gravitate towards comforting, funny, 'life affirming' stuff

Look, if you tried to compile a list to impress the Sight & Sound crew, then I would chop your head off.

The thing is I've seen quite a few of those S&S endorsed films and they are usually really good – but I haven't seen them in ages and so it feels a bit dutiful to say 'Tokyo Story' (say) is one of the best films ever, even though I remember at the time thinking yes that is one of the best films ever, it pierced me to the depths.

Whereas I've seen 'Monsters Inc' about 25 times and I know for a fact it makes me feel as carefree as a child

I'd be interested in seeing your list. Have you checked out Letterboxd.com? Makes compiling these lists easy.
