OK I'll try and listen to that burial after I've listened to the other list one from John fm that versh posted. But if I've nothing good go say about it, I won't say anything at all.

I think my main issue with burial is that he makes me think of good jungle, and I Just prefer all that good old jungle. I listen to so much old jungle it's unbelievable, I never thought I would go back to it like this, but I have done.

That conor thomas smoking man mix, Gerald's one in the jungle mix, been on repeat last few weeks. Been meaning to write about them on here, haven't figured out an angle.

thats the thing, that ideological positioning is a listening disability in some way. thirdform suffers from this

Yeah it was the wrong move but they put him in a tight spot. Very hard to deal with the media. Almost impossible to do it right unless you control it from the start. Dean blunt done alright obviously.

Burial has done better than Dean Blunt tbh. Dean Blunt reads like two graduate students talking to themselves. Burial interviews read like the interviewer has invented a second persona and is talking to him/herself.

How is that? I just find his later stuff derivative of Microstoria, Lithops etc. It's not doing what the Germans hadn't done 15 years before him.

Think we're gonna have to bracket this discussion of Dean blunt vs burial elsewhere. But I do actually hear what you are saying third. Its all good, but certainly not essential like the earlier stuff. I concede that yes. Natural art arc tho. He's done it all.
