Never seen them. I've had American Made on my watchlist for a while, but it hasn't been on anywhere I watch stuff. The other one just popped up when I pulled up the page.

iran-contra is cool anyway. are there any cool films about it? actual hollywood movies

Argo is about iran contra and very hollywood. wouldnt call it 'cool' or 'good' though, but interesting to see how hollywood portrays this sort of thing. lots of awkward shifts between dark historical drama and a buddy comedy where two wily show runners get the band back together for one final score. youll watch hostages get mock executed immediately followed by john goodman trying on funny hats and bullying interns.

I stumbled across this weird, old Mel Gibson film earlier that might be interesting.

Air America was the CIA's private airline operating in Laos during the Vietnam War, running anything and everything from soldiers to foodstuffs for local villagers. After losing his pilot's license, Billy Covington is recruited into it, and ends up in the middle of a bunch of lunatic pilots, gun-running by his friend Gene Ryack, and opium smuggling by his own superiors.
