I'm getting it vocalled, but seeing as the MCs' taking his time I figured I'd just get it out there anyway.

Starts of deep tech then somehow ends up on some very tearout bassline.

Wicked would love to know what you think. I think the transition's fairly convincing but there is a definite - appropriate? - drop in the mixing levs going from house to tearout lol

Actually, more than RS4, that Pathogen track reminds me of Oris Jay and that dark, breakbeat garage stuff. Those nasty synths on a sort of Narrows tip.

Big respect to Benny and Datwun. Both those mixes were sick.

Highlight for me of Benny's was the transition from the Rude Kid tune to the X5 dubs one. Made the X5 Dubs tune sound like I've not heard it before.

Enjoyed Datwun's exclusive dubplates, particularly the one with the "Dominic Morris dubplate special" vocal sample. For me though it was the inclusion of RS4's Leap of Faith which was the highlight. Some of those RS4 tunes mixed in the right place are magical.

great mixes, guys. been catching up with the mixes you mentioned and absolutely love radford, majesty, b3 and aaron vybe. some of this stuff might work really well with night slugs stuff, too!

Continuum: big up! That dubplate is so funny, x5dubs asked me what my DJ name is, but cause of the time difference I was asleep when he asked so he went ahead and recording it just using my actual name. It's cool though cause "Dominic Morris" can just be my house name lol.

And thanks! Yeah, I absolutely love those RS4 tracks - hence including 3 of them lol - proper music, so much depth and texture to them, and proper haunting melodies. The fact that people aren't as gassed about him as they are about Burial just proves everyone's stoopid.

Agree about Eastside! Their sound is 100% on point, exactly what I love in this scene. I hope Strange Static get organized cause they're sitting on some massive tunes too, and their vibe is perfect, but I get the feeling we're gonna be waiting a long while yet...
