^^^never really described a tune as lovely before, but this tune is. I would love to see how this tune would sound with a typical four-four beat. The 2 step drums really gives this tune a different feel.....

i was answering this^ with that last comment but yeh still holds

the second track on his own productions mix off soundcloud is massive too

that two step thing gets interesting right down at 120bpm

that tune made me realise how sparse a lot of deep tech tracks are with the kick drums. obviously x5 dubs has the old school electro touch with the kicks, but i've noticed some tunes by carnao etc only have kicks on the 1 & 3 but still have that really driving feeling.

back on the more 4-4 vibe, heard brackles playin this one by ghost house banton on rinse, banger-

So much to fit in bruv! Even covering what I did took it to over 4000 words, wasn't much space than just to cover all the basics really.. Could easily do a piece just on Perch and the Strange Static guys lol.

It might well be the sort of tune that I end up burning out on, but Chords Of Life by Carnao is really doing it for me at the moment.

Need to get my finger out and buy some tunes these weekend actually, my collection's starting to look pretty out-of-date.
