Anyone want to pay me to write about my top 10 'moments' soundtracked by tunes from this scene shout me, bored of reading pieces on "life changing" Techno records

Define 'pay' lol. I can translate it into Japanese and stick it on the blog! Would love a piece like that!

I think the scenes in rude health musically, though from what I'm reading from here it sounds like the club situations pretty dire. Agreed re second wave, you say Im posting a two year old track (I've never heard it before, not gonna complain when someone's giving out old bits /for free/...) but my post before that had S.E.F and switched on, who've been having an absolutely wicked year for releases, and 3 EPs from wicked artists, 2 of whom have made their debut this year, an the other at the end of last...

Audio Rehab, Definition Audio and Shadow music all have wicked complications out recently. Majesty's been bashing out absolutely amazing music - the Mind Warp EP, Q & A... RS4 Tell Me is one of his best ever. Dean and Studio 37 have been one of the most exciting developments since the whole thing began. And we're getting Japanese producers to try their hands at the sound to some really wicked results.

Maybe the scene's solidified a bit, become a bit more understood and understandable. The whachucallit moment over. But there's an absolute shit ton of great music right now, this ting has legs still

I cant speak for how "It used to be" because ive only been tuned in for about 3 years but damn the house tracks ive come across in that time are straight to the point.

Like all scenes there is a lot of rubble in the pile but every now and then you come across a gem.

Audio Rehab Vol 2 Good producers offloading there so so tracks that are clogging up their hard drives.

I think this comment sums it up. Vol 2 has some great tracks on "Only Knew" is out of this world but from all the artists involved I expected alittle better if im honest.

yo trill did you ever find out what those two tracks were from a while back, that were on that mix at like 37 mins?

sounds vague but i know you'll know what im talkin about. one was really hard and sounded like mokujin (but i don't think it was) and the other one reminded me of trixz cry for you. they came one after the other in the mix

cosigned mate. sooo much good stuff coming, 100% hit rate from you boys too bro haha, keep it up.

the second half of audio rehab vol 2 is decent, up there with the 1st. moonlight carnival is a madness. the other half not so much... a lot of 'em have got their own labels now i suppose...

what radio is everyone keeping up with at the min? jay power every other tuesday, alternating with j cas on london live is the one. along with studio 37 on mode. cant be bothered with radford anymore really, its not as if its bad. still into all his releases on plus etc.

can you go into a little bit more detail here, datwun? I've been jealously following this stuff for almost a year now thanks to everyone here (long time lurker) and at ILX (where I've posted under this handle a bit), and have been finally planning to come over to london from new york next month to hit up some raves. are they just not as great and vibesy as they were last year/couple years ago? What's still live?

I've been planning on going to Audio Rehab and House of Silk and Lance Morgan's new thing Boxxed http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?725579. Does that make sense? Should I lower my expectations? :(

All of those raves will still be poppin and better than anything else going on in London atm, it's just the momentum has died down a bit compared to 2013/2014. Feel it has a lot to do with the "Deep House" explosion of 2011/2012 (which helped grow this scene) naturally fizzling out. Also getting the impression from twitter/instagram that 18/19 year olds atm seem more concerned with Grime & Old Skool Garage than the Deep House which the 20/21 year olds were raving to 2/3 years ago

ok, awesome. thanks! that makes sense. kind of crazy how quick things move over there. seems like it takes a lot longer for things to filter through here. or maybe i'm just out of the loop with the 18/19 year olds
