yeah having asked it as though i would do it if someone told me to i went back and looked at my list and it just wouldn't be possible. too tuff

Yes, I know how he feels, it has been 20 years. Even in 1995 it would have been a bit of a let-down. Does sound lovely out of context, though, but that is never the point.

surely thinking about it as a 2013 follow up is missing the point. this is just a 'missing' or 'lost' album really. i dont know how much has been done to it recently so who knows if it was completed recently but im listening to it as an album that was made during and meant to be released during the 90s, not one thats trying to still sound like or hasnt moved on from the 90s. its an archive release in all but name, no?

Yes, I think it kind of is an archive from the middle 90s. I don't disagree. Wrong thread, though. My fault, sorry.

fwiw i do love it but when it gets to the last track, i do think how amazing it might have been if they did do more tracks like that. or used it a launchpad for a whole album in that vein (which brings it back to more nuumy themes as far as this thread goes - speaking of which, a nuum nineties poll would be ridiculously impossible). i wonder if there are more demos or unreleased tracks they worked on like that.

Andy! I was wondering what happened to you today when I was counting the votes. of course its fine to do it at the weekend, haven't put a deadline on it yet. Got 15 ballots in so far (including some from lurkers which I'm encouraging) and a definite top 20 is starting to take shape.
