That Social Network fincher film played fast and loose with the truth to put it mildly but I thought it was an interesting character study of somebody who's very clever and destined to be insanely rich but is also fundamentally an unlikeable weird dweeb. I kind of class Bezos and Zuck in this category too. But maybe I'd hate any billionaire on principle?

And you know I've been and am a weird dweeb so I know all about the unquenchable thirst for approval. Luckily I've got absolutely no confidence work ethic or talent (or daddy's millions) so restrict my activities to dissensus

What do you reckon about this? Lot of people seem to think it was a stunt, and that he was planning to step down anyway.

Hard to write jokes lamer (and more desperate!) than Musk's teenage-Reddit humor, but somehow The Guardian has managed.

Imagine being this insufferably self-congratulatory and small-minded, simultaneously.

Except the essence of what they said is true. You can disagree with a newspaper's perspective, but you can't deny the detrimental impact of a diminished free press. The reason George Santos got elected is because of the lack of local journalistic bandwidth, otherwise all of his lies and fabrications would have surfaced during the campaign.

"The Telegraph has contacted Twitter for comment. However, Mr Musk has slimmed down the network’s communications with press over recent months – emails to its press office are now automatically responded to with a poo emoji."
