Weird how I've never noticed that the URL for the Forbes website is actually Aliens Rise dot com.

What do we reckon about Musk buying twitter? Will it happen? Cos of that article @Leo posted about how it might not happen, I allowed myself to be talked into a bet with my friend on the outcome. Normally I only bet with him on factual questions when I know I'm right (eg he thought Horse With No Name was by Neil Young - kerching) but while it's been a nice earner, I guess he had a point when he said it was unsporting. So, although I have no real opinion on whether or not Musk will get it, I now have something riding on it.

BTW, now he's saying he'll let Trump back on if the deal goes through. Maybe he's trying self sabotage on the deal.

Don't worry, if I lose I won't hold you responsible. And I do own two flats so it wouldn't really be the end of the world.

Funny to think in pre-Twitter/social media days, corporations would have teams of communications experts who'd hold multiple meetings to strategize and craft their messages, and then schedule press conferences to brief the media. Today, one guy speak directly to the world via his phone, any time he wants.

Dad's got one and he says it's OK for charging in Oxfordshire. But the way it keeps catching fire IS annoying.

There was a story the other day about one bursting into flames with the driver locked inside.
I saw that but it was in Canada or somewhere I think, it wasn't Dad anyway.

It must be pretty scary to be in a car that catches fire - and then the AI suddenly locks you in - desperately shouting "help help open the door!" and it replies "I'm sorry Dave I'm afraid I can't do that" - well, we can't say that we weren't warned.

The guy got out right? How?
