Mr. Tea

Shub-Niggurath, Please
It kept me watching for sure even though most of the time I didn't know what was going on.

If you knew what was going on, it wouldn't be Twin Peaks David Lynch.

Highly fitting, too, that the guy selling the golden shovels starts out as a Terrence McKenna character and ends up as a low-end Alex Jones clone.

Trump has now released a statement in response to the Mazars thing, it's long and crazy and could be summarised as "I'm really shitting myself now, not just like I normally do cos I can't control my bowels, but shitting myself additionally cos of fear".
And hilariously/insanely the first line of it reads

"We have a great company with fantastic assets that are unique, extremely valuable and, in many cases, far more valuable than what was listed in our financial statements"

Which as far as I can tell appears to be a public admission to a huge crime. Gotta admit that I had been completely resigned to the fact that Trump was gonna get away with all his crimes, but with this I'm beginning to think that I may have been a little premature...

that first line is actually one of his problems: the trump organization inflated the value of the company when looking for loans, and underreported the value when it came to paying corporate taxes. he actually said that latter part out loud.

Why does Axios present all of its articles like they're being aimed at 12 year olds?

I think it works well, although admittedly I'm a bit of a dimwit. it's designed to be a quick read, that's the way to get readers nowadays. not everyone has the energy or time to tackle a 10,000-word essay on an obscure foreign regime from the 1940s.

Judge has just ruled that Trump must testify in one of his cases - I lose track of which cos there are so many - which should be hilarious.

it's the civil suit, trump plus don jr and Ivanka. but they'll appeal, and then when they lose, will just plead their fifth amendment right against self incrimination (which is what Eric did in an earlier case). but it'll be good for the entertainment value.

I'm not totally sure of the details - read conflicting stuff - but I get the feeling that the fact of it being a civil suit affects their right to plead the 5th.

Thanks Leo... Truth is the most staggeringly inappropriate name for anything touched by the Kiss of Trump and it doesn't exactly take a genius to figure out that this will go as wrong as all those other things he launched with a great fanfare and loads of enthusiasm, prancing happily like a tit for a roaring crowd of fucking idiots and drivelling on endlessly about the big steal... enthusiasm that inevitably faded as soon as any problems arose or he had to do any actual work, or simply if the spotlight moved away and something new captivated his attention.

my favorite is that he wrote a "truth" and his team took a screenshot of it and shared the image on twitter.
