I like crazy free jazz fireworks but also LOVE that sort of dreamy, hazy jazz. would love to get recommendations of albums (by miles or anyone else) that are primarily that sound. I have some Stan Getz that come close but have a few upbeat numbers that break the mood.

A summer evening spent with friends in one of those ground floor flat, bamboo screen enclosed paved gardens that look out directly onto the street in SE15 - BBQ on the go, beer in hand etc

T Rex - Planet Queen (1970)

Really like this. Never listened to any T Rex other than 'Get It On'. This certainly isn't what I imagined, which was "hard rocking". Beefy power chords. Levi jeans music, once for the young and cool and now for the old and Clarkson. I'm liking this whole album.

I was thinking this is kind of creepy with its "Give me your daughter" refrain, and it is I suppose, but then I realised its the sort of thing Prince might sing, and that made me realise how Prince-like this song is in many ways. It's creepy but also cool.
