fancy dress music. it's not 'real' in the sense thst it is not unmediated expression of life experience. but that's not to say you can dismiss it out of hand. second order pleasures perhsps, arch, intellectual and detatched equivocal pleasures, but still pleasures

I agreed with luka that he is arch and postmodern, but said he's somehow simultaneously sincere and luka said I was accusing him of cancelling Legowelt.

I also pointed out that he might actually get cancelled, or at least discussed in those terms, because he has a weird, Conradesque record about the Congo.

It's got a bit of a dodgy tone to it. Similar to the way Africa's discussed in the liner notes to that Extreme Music from Africa comp. that's been brought up on here before, although not quite as severe.
