I was very excited when this album came out, it was right at the peak of my Smiths fandom which was in retrospect mercifully short lived

still amazes me that one of his big fan bases for the past decade or so has been Mexican goths in Southern California.

Despite his BNP tendencies I still think The Smiths are one of the best bands.
