Once heard a DJ hold a long mix between this and bounty killaz - brighter future. the trick is to cue up just at the right point of brighter future, and anything else will screw it up. This is no linear house or garage tailor-made for taking the guess work out of mixing. But when you can pull it off, there are great rushing almost darbuka-like rhythms from the contrasting breaks. I've tried this mix on and off with various levels of success and utter failure, but hopefully I'll manage to pull it off in my next mix. Cracking tune. Still sounds so fresh yet so Amiga encrusted.

Some tunes fit together like jigsaw pieces when you find that right spot for launching the second record. Synergy

Blakey is such a don. I should listen to some more of his stuff. He kinda never crops up it seems to me in the discourse about jazz. Too old?
