I saw Low live a couple of times actually, very early 2000s. They have very, very beautiful voices, it was like being in a warm bath. I used to like Secret Name and some of Things We Lost In The Fire but lost interest after that when they went all 'experimental', ie: boring.

nah their experimental stuff is better, it's like future glitchpop, proper editions mego. I find indie boring though.

Well a lot of people were wetting their knickers over that Double Negative album (ilx's album of the year, funnily enough) but I found the harsh digital noise grating, maybe I should give it another go. What I liked about them originally was the purity of the voices. That guy is a really shit hot guitar player too in his own way.

You could hear a pin drop at their gigs in the silences between the chords. Very powerful live band

I mean I like harsh digital noise. I think the real potential of digital is to give you the oxymoronic sensation of pristine filth.

They have a huge back catalogue so I guess there's something for everyone by now. Good band that I never listen to anymore
