I understand that the unfinished work is tantalising, we lionise the dead etc. Suicide brings another dimension… but all that aside you’ve said this project was exciting, so let’s see a bit more of it

This makes it sound as if I think it's a purely cynical operation and I don't think that. It's largely organic in as much as there is a suicide icon mould already existing. It wasn't publishers and publicity agents that forced the fit. Young people did it spotaneously and naturally.

The books can't compete with the blog particularly where they are blog posts inside books.

Our main gripe is that our period is excised from the record. And they were all the non-skull bits, the bit the Japan essay came from.

Someone recently published a piece reassessing Capitalist Realism and got some unimpressed comments for a closing paragraph on Mark and Kurt Cobain's respective suicides.

"Skull" and "non-skull" definitely need to be added to the Dissensus framework.
