we need to analyse the characteristics of this here shared, multi-human emt of the group
more than the sum of her parts

This emt thing sounds like drugs, or psychic/cognitive range, the idea that our brains only get shown a bit of reality, cos the whole lot would do us in.

Awareness is about elimination rather than production. Matthews book talks about it.

So this idea of inanimate objects as extensions of cognition, its very much sounding to me as though it's about visuals on mushrooms. The object emanating out from itself, in front of your eyes. Trailing about. And it's happening all the time, but the mushrooms let you see it.

Similar as well to d&g and de landa, the body as a temporary storehouse for genetic material.

But maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick a bit.

That all makes sense but I was more getting at how tech extends and also merges our extended brains
Mapping the psychedelic experience onto the tech is good though

The group emt via tech is right here,. Whereas the group emt via tripping is distant and nebulous...
probably some of the same metaphors are still informative tho,
If you see what I mean?

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-s...trends-future-crazy-advancement-a7674991.html silly article but doubtless it is a phenomenon that is impending. the machines are making us become more and more like them, rather than vice versa, is my current working hypothesis :)
yeah musk about to destroy NV with lithium extraction, stayed open during lockdown, cars sit outside charging 24/7 loudly, disses Thai kids’ MAJOR rite of passage, blows shit up pollution, orbits cars duh, class a-hole libertarian. Pull the plug⚡️🔌libertarian techers making us become more like them they wish. NO!

what came out of the emt wiki page (which is not even long) for me is about having a function - that's possibly a moot point around here, maybe even that's our quest

just been reading about lovelock's newest book in which his stuff is progressing beyond simple gaian dystopocalpyse
his thing now is that gaia will save us all by creating loving "cyborgs" (all of us except the humans maybe), but nice to see that there's some synchronicity there. the review i was reading uses terms like woo woo and nuts so is basically slagging him as usual from the dawkinsite basic rationality angle, zzz, but i didnt finish yet, so i'll be reporting back later on how spaceship dissensus will guide planet earth to its cybernetic destiny etc etc

also
and so, even before we realise about this newly emerged gooey molten global consciousness we become the autopilot - our beautiful species spaceship navigates towards our destiny somewhere out there in the heavens - we steer the solarsystem through the cosmos with tiny subtle shifts to the gravitational fields of the astral bodies, a nudge to our moon pulls us off orbit enough to set a new trajectory, changes to our tides bounced the moon just enough when we threw that statue into Bristol harbour
cyborgs decolonise the cosmos
