Google doesn't understand probability distribution as there will be a distribution of engineers believing in AI sentience to varying degrees - it's called diversity

hmm, that joke fell flat...I should have gone with the "sartorial elegance" angle, but I remembered some proverb about glass houses & throwing stones

Anyway, under Test Driven Development, wouldn't that AI pass the Turing test?

we don't have access to LaMDA so I can only guess - although I'd be tempted to say "yes"

It's not a joke: why should they not expect people to believe subjective things to varying degrees, especially if the Turing test were passed

I was talking about my original post, not your reply which is perfectly valid

edit: I was trying to say that I don't think "security" was the real reason behind his dismissal ( he's not leaked any code, etc., )
