Being 'into politics '

There isn't any analysis, that's what irritates me the most. It's the most surface "oh these people are just ridiculous - how do they get away with it?" repeated over and over again. For money.

It sounds like you think they're ridiculous, and are wondering how they get away with it.

If you look at the TL of Ian Dunt he doesn't have anything interesting or original to say about anything, but (of course) because he's the editor of politics.co.uk he has to say something about everything. Endless tweets all day saying nothing about everything. He has to do that to make sure he is part of "the conversation" because that's basically his job, to be part of the conversation, adding to the white noise and static. But just about everything he has to offer has as much value as "Jaws with a truck". The rest is positioning: making sure he is in the right place to be visible without being exposed. Half the reason that people with media profiles tweet is to signal that they have a safe position on all the topics of the day and recognise the importance of saying so, just to make sure everybody else knows that they are safe to take pitches and make commissions.

He could save time and energy just by writing one tweet in the morning that reads, "I am Ian Dunt and you don't have to cancel me today."

I see him a lot on twitter but I didn't know who he was.

Meanwhile Dorian Lynskey tweeted, "can anyone think of a Spielberg film that is like Jaws but isn't Jaws? It's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't quite place it. It's for 'a thing'..."

Ian Dunt replied, "How about Duel? It's Jaws with a truck!"

"That's perfect," Dorian replied, "thanks."

I'd have much more respect for Marina Hyde if she did a proper takedown of Piers Morgan despite her history with him

But just to play devil's advocate, she used to write the gossip column, now she writes a political sketch thing, maybe not the place or person to be looking to for detailed political scrutiny and far reaching analysis?
And Duel is Jaws with a truck kinda isn't it?
