What's your favourite Adele song?

@Corpsey what do you think about Taylor Swift? do you agree that the writing has more in common with television than
with pop music? I'm gratified you agree.

@luka what do you think of her accent at the start of the video? she's started having some posh inflections, like she knows how to talk to waiters at the wine bar
i watched a few seconds of this yesterday (i couldn't take any more than that i found it painful) and actually there is no trace of the Eastenders Landlady character she plays so well nowadays. it's a completely different personna.

i like that someone like you one, and chasing pavements was ok, but all the others, i find her voice, and maybe just her technique, to be pretty bad.
i know people seem to think shes a great singer with a lot of power, but shes no bonnie tyler or susan boyle.
i wouldnt mind if her songs were really well written, but all i hear is a lot of classic pop/rock signifiers, (very american too), but no real tunes.
never heard an adele album though.

i file adele next to florence from florence and the machine as someone who sorts of belts songs out but hasnt got the lungs to really do it properly.

her 'i own a tanning salon in Loughton' personna is definitely just a cover though. brassy pub landlord, outspoken, fiercely independent but vulnerable. all that is an artful disguise.

by basic assumption is that anyone under the age of 60 with a cockney accent is performing it in some more or less subtle way

I've gone off this song now. The novelty wears off really quickly. It's a rip-off of something by Razorlight.
