His disposition towards her is unique to other movie Devils. The way he speaks, the things he says, even his mannerisms are all so subtly unnatural. The typical depiction of the Devil is as that of a business man. He comes at you with a smile and friendliness. There's an old saying that you wouldn't know that you were talking to the Devil unless i told ya. Walter Huston's performance in All That Money Can Buy was the perfect depiction of this idea; Quite scary to say the least. However, what makes Viggo's Lucifer so unique and scary in his own right, is that in the film The Prophecy, He is not trying to fool Catherine or you the viewer into believing he is a just a generous business man trying to Helo you out. Oh God no... He is very much revealing himself as Satan, and he needs to talk to you about some real shit, or otherwise he will fuck you up. It's like he hates having to talk to a human. There's lots of little subtle cues in his body language and his voice that give off an aura of pure Hatred towards catherine. The eating of the flower was very symbolic of this. This is one of the most interesting, unsettling, and just plain magnificent depictions of The Devil I've ever seen in anything. Viggo scares me.

So there's a film where viggo mortensen plays the devil and presumably fucks that actress from candyman?

And i'm not watching it right now?

Years ago, back in 1989 in fact, a guy started work in the company I worked for in north london. I can't remember his name it being so long ago but I remember he came from Hinckley in Leicester. I remember he used to talk highly of Aphex twin, This Mortal Coil and 4AD records who I had never heard of before. he had a friend who had a sound system of very high quality back then and they used to listen to Aphex twin etc whilst getting stoned. I was more into Hip hop at the time and wasn't that clued up about ambient, that came a year or two later. I introduced him to NWA and he loved that, anyway I digress, He became a good friend over that summer and we partied at the town & country club in Kentish Town (Wendy May's locomotion) but i never listened to any of the music he spoke so highly of. Fast forward 26 years and I'm listening to this and it's blown me away. Wow i wish i got into Aphex Twin back in the late 80's/early 90's when he first spoke about them. Time flies fast and the years roll by so very quickly. I turned 50 two months ago. I have a happy marriage, I have a good career. What have i learnt over the years? It's important to unplug via what ever method is your choice/poison. Don't ever listen to negativity, keep pushing forward. Love your family and your friends, no one else is that important. I wish I could meet my old friend from hinckley back in 89.

I miss this era. The music gave me hope that the western world could be progressive, futuristic and aspirational. Unfortunately this moment slipped beneath man's feet. And all hope was lost. It had the future in mind and the present at hand - it was hopeful. I miss this moment of man - it had given me something to look forward to. Now, only a lament. Like all great fools, I placed too much hope in the music.

Almost 16 million views is pretty remarkable for an electronic album. Is any electronic album so universally* loved?

* not including heartless monsters

They picked a smart getaway driver, as soon as he heard the gunshots he decided to get a headstart for them.

“Victory has a hundred fawthas - but defeat is an orphan.” Jackie Jr. was so enraged that anyone besides him mentioned the word “fawtha”, that he immediately unloaded into Sunshine.

The person who hates Andre Agassi will go to hell. To hell with him. He wastes so much time to find someone's flaws and he doesn't look at his own flaws, that made him die early. Agassi has changed personality throughout his life and he has transformed into a Philanthropist. Now. Agassi is going on forever and the whiner has gone away forever from this earth.
The greatest find ever.

This is what John Saxon woke up to when he woke up in Heaven a few weeks ago. This track playing. He woke up at the bottom of a long set of steps in his yellow suit from the movie and he was young again. He races up the top of the steps with a youthfulness and energy he hasnt felt since his 20's. He's happy and feels the most alive he's felt in years. He gets to the top and Williams and Lee are waiting for him at the gates in their outfits from the movie. Williams is like "Long time no see, homeboy! Slap me some five!" Lee calmly walks up to him as the gates open and says "It's time to Enter the Heaven now, John. ....Waaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

One of the greatest uses of electricity by a human being since it’s discovery. Masterpiece.

makes a 50 year old man well up when the strings come in, just like the first time I heard it 25 odd years ago.

First time i heard this i was Pilled up on a couple of doves and just sat stunned on the floor of some grimey old warehouse rave in south london in awe of what i was hearing, still as fresh sounding now as it was back in the day.I was lucky enough to see mad mike do a dj set at an underground carpark just off leicester sq and not once did he take his balaclava off which was a bit of a weird one to someone who was as E'd up as i was that night, christ i still wonder how i'm still alive considering the amount of pills i must have dropped back then, ahhh the good old days when you could kick the shit out of millwall and the old bill would just let you crack on for as long as you wanted.

When I used to work a pub and I noticed one of my regulars, an alcoholic Doctor who propped the bar, bopping his head and singing this song to himself along with the jukebox - I joined in, he looked up and said "this is a brilliant song, isn't it?". From that point, every time this on came on the jukebox, he looked at me with a nod - I knew we were in the same boat for those 4 minutes. Those moments, the connections which overcome everything else, are the one thing I miss about working a pub - People being genuine. Doctor Bob - This one is out to you, pal. Even if it is 5 years later!
This is like a Limmy sketch

I often wonder where (if anywhere) people talk about music, what with forum's seemingly shrivelling up and dying.

I suspect the answer is YouTube (and maybe Facebook?). Twitter, too, obviously, but it's always tedious "takes".

I first heard this at a high school dance. Wasn't a crowd yet. One of the teachers was off in a corner with his back turned. Lights strobing his cheek. He was looking up at the ceiling but you could tell he was looking further than that. He did a half turn. His face was wet. We noticed one...at...a...time until we stopped dancing and just listened to the song, the narration...out of respect. And maybe for him too. You don't see that anymore.

Back from the days when Dilly knew how to make music! He stopped existing after 97 IMO. He was absorbed and imitated by the alien from The Thing, and that alien couldn't Jungle his way out of a paper bag so we knew it wasn't really Dillinja. RIP!

No specific comments to call out here but Interesting that this music attracts a certain sort of comment.

A lot of stuff about people's grandparents dying, putting their dogs to sleep, remembering their childhood happiness, etc.
