Equiknoxx and weird dancehall

wonder if this and solo time cow and gavsborg stuff are their experimental outlet. maybe when they get back to releasing tracks as equinknoxx, they'll have more of a dancehall feel (albeit a weirdo one).

I was hoping the Gav & Jord mini-LP would be more like the Time Cow "prog" album to be honest! That maybe the best new thing I've heard the last couple of years...

but the main difference between "experimental" / "weird" dancehall and mainstream dancehall is that I can "own" the experimental shit, like people are pressing up vinyl, but with "proper" dancehall what choice have I got? some dodgy rip on youtube? low bitrate mp3?

actually, I bought the Skillibeng CD on, ahem. compact disc, but in truth, for the @Benny B style dancehall that is a total anomaly...

i mean this i think is a current thing just like UK drill its all internet based and as much as kent here might not find it appealing but for rappers like Chief Keef and Carti, leaks snippits and said low bitrate mp3s are a large part of being a fan of these rappers just as much as the albums what got left of what's still not released etc
