Chocolate and magic mushrooms is a classic Aztec combo. I hope @droid doesn't feel the urge to sacrifice anyone while under the influence.

I once heard a story from an an acquaintance about how they were all tripping and one of the party unknowingly reenacted the castration of the Aztec maize lord, Centeotl, by cutting his balls off with a kitchen knife...bummer, man...

Think I'll file that one next to the "man thought he was an orange and peeled himself."

Bill Hicks picked a hole in the old "thought he could fly and jumped off the roof" schtick.
Pointing out that if you believe you can fly, why not just take off from the ground?
Ahh, but that's sober-person logic, isn't it?

there's a connection between that lsd "flying" chestnut and the whole yogic flying business

it's almost certainly a physical symptom of ego dissolution whereby you feel somehow untethered.

Not so much psychedelic as quiet change

Mushrooms have been procured for a forthcoming long weekend

Two options - first is to head up to the Lake District with a van, awning, grill and sleeping bags, 2nd is like last summer staying local and walkabouting (inevitably coming home to Kenny Ken mixes in certain company)

My wife has only ever nibbled and thinks a higher dose might work, now Covid and work have semi (semi) normalised. It’s the decision then whether to go in on a lighter dose personally so she can kick back and I act as a sitter, or join in the experience

This is going to end up like play school

Did some mushrooms (in chocolate form) last Sunday by a Riverside in Oxford - not much, just enough to feel like I was on a great pill and everything looked amazing. Also was crying with laughter. 10/10 would recommend.

sweet spot zone is the goal, a psyche rinse, illusive at times

summer is busy and at the mid point of this year I don’t think I could handle what some friends want, ie a cornucopia of drug sludge

science is a brain disorder.
Did I share how on mushrooms recently I couldn't sleep for hours cos I was hallucinating in the dark

And I couldn't stop my mind from analysing what I was seeing - both in terms of interrogating it for "meaning" and (more depressingly) in rationalising terms "ah my visual systems must be doing X,Y,Z"

And I realised that I'd lost the ability (easily accessed as a child) to simply enjoy the imagination?

Music. Don’t think I’ve ever tripped, even with serious walkabouts, without music weaving its spell into the mix

This includes last summer after 2 decades off. Did 6 hours in woodlands, got back to the house and mates wanted Kenny Ken. You can’t say no even if you’d personally prefer something more laid back coming down

Bank holiday mushroom weekend coming. Taken next week off, baby sitter sorted, prob a last minute hitch or 3 but fuck it. This year demands inward/outward illumination
