What is Nina's connection to this board? I've seen a few of her talks, none of which edged into controversy, and thought she seemed smart and kind.

She contributed in the early days and then came back for the Josef K thread but didn't stick around

I hung out on /lit/ intermittently for a few months in college, and of course /b/ for a while in middle school as we all did, but I wouldn't say I'm more chan-soaked than your average folk

For the record, it wasn't my laptop, but belonged to Sonic Acts. I guess they covered up the logo for copyright reasons for the videos. I don't imagine that putting a sticker over logo is an act of anything, as it goes...:)
Nina come back I love you.

I was on 4chan to watch /mu/ go completely stagnant (or maybe it was already stagnant when I arrived?), and /b/ go almost 50% closeted sexual impulses content, which also was probably already the case when I arrived, but it did get more overt.

It's good to be back - I have forgotten my 'Infinite Thought' login, but did come back here briefly after Mark's death. I've seen a few Dissensus people in person over the last few years, which has always been great. I can't remember why I stopped writing here in the first place - maybe some silly falling-out, but probably just more likely getting too busy with jobs and state stuff (Alfie's trials ended up taking years and years, and we're still miles away from getting any admission/compensation from the state of harm caused).
Nina I talked to the whole board we had a big group DM they want you to come back, and me too.

Anyone even slightly clever in a certain age group would have used it at some point I'm sure.

a mass shooter went on 4chan before he did it, forget which one.

Lorde also tested the waters on 'royales' before she was anything.

Probably no one famous specifically for 4chan per se but its always had interaction from niche cultural celebs

i just went to 4chan for the first time of my life and these are the most popular threads atm apparently:
yyaldrin, I was keeping your secret safe until you decided to strut around all self-righteous like an innocent waif, "what is this 4chan, I've never been there, oh I'm horrified by the content." for those not in the know, 'yyaldrin' was an infamous account name on the chans, almost got shut down for posting pictures of dog penises, pushed it too far even for /b/ or /gif/. really really sick stuff, not something a normal person would ever post, the kind of person you wouldn't want in your neighborhood or one day Fido might go missing

padraig (u.s.)

a monkey that will go ape
a mass shooter went on 4chan before he did it, forget which one
the Christchurch mosque shooter, albeit it was 8chan and not 4chan, idk what granular differences that implies if any

also the El Paso shooter later that year who directly referenced the Christchurch guy

they're both Great Replacement-citing white supremacists, for anyone who didn't follow those stories
