Once I had the idea of starting a thread leaving it up for a year and anything in the thread gets turned into a book. But then I thought about it, and foresaw only vandalism.

In any case, vandalism would be just as (or MORE) valid a theme in a book about "the MODERN CONDITION" or whatever as conversations about thomas pynchon. Petty vandalism/trolling being one of the main points of the internet

Someone should write a book that takes the form of such a thread, but doinjg it for real would be anarchy... better just fake it and then you could have an actual plot or something that emerges from it and it would be much less boring. Sort of like Pale Fire or something.
