Yeah I think you are right. There's that exuberance and no fucks given attitude which rubs down over time

theres no good new music. this is a brilliant, tight album that feels alive. you make some good comments sometimes thirdform but this is not one of them

nah, this is a step below 808 state. how you can like this and not that is beyond me. it's bad new music. there's good new music but this isn't it.

no, you are completely wrong here mate

not at all. the distorted bits are good but i might as well listen to undacova/unit moebius or electronome.

the dubby bits are alright but the best bits of dubstep far surpassed this. but its dissensus wisdom to hate dubstep even tho i can find luke praising south london in 2005.

yeah go ahead and listen to em, im not stopping you. ive neve rheard of those bands, im potentially interested, but probably not.

re dubstep, i see this db/hy/gast/tusk stuff as being post dubstep ie borrows, but they make it their own. saying its not as good, thats fair enough, but dubstep only really meant something to me when it was everywhere. i hardly ever go back to it. maybe i should tho. i used to like distance.

I don't listen to electronic music for melodies. I don't even listen to most western music for melodies, apart from soul and rnb and hard bop.

Why would I? I come from a lineage who expertly handles the melodic hook. no need for it.

nah, i listen for texture and funk.

There's some good stuff there definitely. some early bass clef, the cloakes stuff, as you say distance, markomen and j:kenzo, coki, cirus etc. I think dubstep hit its creative peak around 07-08, I.E: exactly when the old guard like blackdown were keen to disown it which fair enough the emo dickheads in America made it (overly) cartoonish and lost the balance, but that lot and some of the dissensus boys didn't exactly do UK dance music culture any favours did they! and in fact post-dubstep was archetypical dissensian music, corpse keeps asking this but look at the posters from 2008-2012.

i mean this new (old) gast thing is 2013 has taken those influences, spewed them out in a good way, after 5 years of digestion. it's a really good album, you should listen to it again, it's only short.

i'm gonna buy it probbly, and i never buy music unless i get some hard format in return

interesting that the new klein is also mastered by amir shoat - he's the true hidden genius behind the whole scene. nice lad as well.
