great thanks for giving it a try, sufi. guess things should go back to how they were though, if people feel so strongly about it.

Can you keep them, but turn off the scores?

what have you ggot agains tthe scores? you loved them when you were in the lead it's only since i overtook you you dont like them. this is like North Korea. enforced equality.

that's needlessly insulting imo. it was just an idea that i personally thought (and still think) could be worthwhile. no big deal.

joking around, m. doubt anyone here cares that strongly (except of course for luka, who apparently needs constant qualitative validation of how much he's liked).

It's possible to add or take away emojis from the like button, though it feels like perhaps that road may not lead us to a better place.
the only one that is fixed is the fb-style thumbs-up

I think we should go further and have a 'karma score' along the bottom of each post, like some forums have. A row of green boxes, or red ones if your net popularity is negative. Trophies. The whole shebang.

I can see the appeal of having none of that stuff at all and just focussing on text.
we could do away with avatars too

what i've learned is that 1.30 AM on Monday morning is an ideal time to make gratuitous changes to the website

I think they have fixed usernames that you can access by clicking on the screen name.

Bit like how twitter users can change their display name but keep the same @ name.

It looks shit though.
