The Skih's took it this time ...
And Brandon Scott Hole did the shooting ( 19 years old )

" The gunman was identified by law enforcement officials on Friday as Brandon Scott Hole, a 19-year-old who used to work at the warehouse, and who was already on law enforcement radar.
The victims were identified by the police as Matthew R. Alexander, 32; Samaria Blackwell, 19; Amarjeet Johal, 66; Jaswinder Kaur, 64; Jaswinder Singh, 68; Amarjit Sekhon, 48; Karli Smith, 19; and John Weisert, 74. Some family members of victims who are Sikh provided different spellings and ages: Jasvinder Kaur, 50; Amarjit Sekhon, 49; and Jaswinder Singh, 70.

What do we see when we look at the national map in article below...

After what we used to call ' going postal ' shootings by x or current employees
, then school shootings became a thing, now every white, survivalist, puke y weak boy can be a Proud boy w matching Bib and AK.
Throw in a president who actively courted these types for 4 years.
Unprecedented attention for them and all the more attractive to more pukes.

Many, many factors build up with these people.
As whites approach minority status in US we are not near any limit here -
even after these recent mass killings.
How many waves of gun and bullet buying * at start of Obama admin, * during Obama admin, * during Trump, * post Trump surge as well.

I pick out that all the shootings listed as being south of the Mason Dixon Line or close.
As someone born in Northern Virginia, i will just say flat out , much of it is race based anger.
Cops do it - usually with slap on wrist or less ( once in a while more, and the liberal goes 'Oh now we will have change' ) , monkey see monkey do.

Tragedy of and on the Commons

' Brandon Hole, 19, had his shotgun taken away in March 2020 after his mother raised concerns about his mental state, records show. But he was able to legally make gun purchases just months later. '

"Brandon Hole this is your life ..."

I notice that the NRA failed in their attempt to claim bankruptcy. It seems that the court decided that they were trying to use it to dodge regulatory issues rather than address a financial failing. Which is obviously what they were doing. Seems they might be in serious trouble.... but their poison has already seeped into the body politic so maybe it's too late....

I don't think this article mentions it, but I just heard on NPR that the suspect is black (male), which immediately struck me as unusual. I was with my aunt at the time, working on a sculpture, and she said that there were several cases of not only black people, but black women involved in asian hate crimes. Haven't looked into that myself, but prima facie I find it quite surprising.

black on asian violence/crime is definitely a thing, not sure why. to generalize wildly and probably inappropriately, there have been cases where some asians have been accused of discriminating against blacks, things like asian storekeepers following a black customer around a store, convinced they're just there to steal.

Well there's a long-standing 'good minority/bad minority' narrative, isn't there? The way 'rooftop Koreans' became a popular RW/white-supremacist meme, etc.

Apparently the suspect in this subway incident has been known to the FBI for years, was entered into a terrorism monitoring program then let go, there are thousands of cameras on the subway and the three that could have caught him happened to be the only three which weren't working that day and after not being able to find him the news suddenly came out that actually he'd dropped a credit card at the scene...

he's just officially been named a suspect, a grumpy 62-year old loner from Milwaukee, possible PTSD.

caught him in slightly more than 24 hours, despite non-functioning cameras in the subway station. he left clues behind on the train, but turns out he was nabbed as a result of a Crimestoppers tip from a member of the public. if you see something, say something!

turns out the suspect is the one who called Crime Stoppers and turned himself in!

in terrorism terms, one thing i end up thinking about quite a lot is how bad and disturbing that 2015-2017ish period was, when daesh figured out how to use the internet to convince people to do attacks all over the place.

I was thinking about this the other day, the impact and level of terror they inflicted was insane. even people here were terrified, convinced ISIS was going to send suicide bombers into their local supermarket or whatever.

so it turns out this isn't the NYPD's most shining moment:

- the first cop on the scene couldn't help because his radio wasn't working.
- then the cops in the sunset park station forgot to halt other trains and the shooter hopped another train and got away.
- then it was discovered that none of the cameras in the station worked.
- eventually, the shooter called the tip line and turns himself in, and the cops never bother to show up.
- so after waiting around for awhile, he decides to go wander around the east village, when another person recognizes him and calls in a second tip.
- then the cops finally arrive and arrest him.

NY's finest.
