that being said, probably a good idea but we don't use one. used to, but couldn't be bothered with buying the replacement filter and removed it. doesn't make the water taste drastically different (in our area, anyway) but theoretically blocks out lots to nasty stuff.

yeah, just yanking' yr chain.

TBF, the filters probably last longer than the manufacturer suggestions (2-3 months, depending on usage and how hard the water is). you can probably get away with replacing the filter two or three times a year.

thing is, you don't really have anything to lose by getting one, right? there's no downside, and they aren't very expensive. give it a try.

There's nothing wrong with the water in London, it has already been filtered several times before it gets to you.

If you don't like the taste, fair enough.

don't waste your money on that stuff, you'll only make yourself a victim of clever marketing. i'm no expert on water quality in the uk but i'm assuming it's just fine.
