Are there any podcasts you listen to?

Actually my fave podcast and probably more in tune with tastes on here is Joey Ayoub's The Fire These Times: https://thefirethisti.me/

It's just a really broad perspective on a range on struggles with a focus on the Middle East as Joey is Lebanese. He just reupped a podcast he did last year after the explision which is pretty harrowing. A good corrective if you're sick of white people who've never been the countries they're pontificating about, as he takes care to include regional voices.

Like, if I cook a nice meal I hope that people enjoy it as part of a lovely evening. And if I post a mix online I expect people to check that out while walking about or cooking or ideally shagging or burning down police stations or something.

I mean one of the things I love about Cafe OTO is how immersive it is, so there is space for that too.

Ive been listening to Blowback. Its a ten episode series on the Iraq War. Its great. High production value, can tell it took alot of time to stitch together. reminds me a little of a better npr broadcast. its got a humor and pace too so if youre as thick as corpsey its not too boring

Cursed Objects, the podcast of former poster Dan Hancox and friend Dr Kasia Tee is good. Took a while to find its space.

The MIT podcast on AI, “In Machines We Trust” too.

“Hot Money” a series on the funding of the porn industry is pretty wild.

Bureau of Lost Culture is patchy but occasionally excellent on Uk counter culture.

Call me old fashioned/basic but just about the only podcast I've ever been able to listen to is In Our Time with Melvyn Bragg. Can't stand unprofessional rambling.
Those are often great and a vast back catalogue. I remember listening to the early ones at university. Melvyn did sound a little frail on yesterday's on HMS challenger 😢

Just so happens I listened to this Lex Fridman podcast today https://lexfridman.com/andrej-karpathy/
