Delete London

It's nice, they'll like it. Good pubs, new arts cinema by the station, rolling countryside all around, sea's a few miles away, ferry to France from Newhaven, Brighton's nearby. Loads of shops. A bit like Hampstead plonked on the Downs. I get the sense it's a greying town though. I'm 46 and feel young when I visit there.

Or at least, it's widely known as the car-crime capital of the South West, which amounts to the same thing in my book.

What would you do if we had to evacuate? how would you be affected?

perhaps because of a terrible smog, like Delhi, a modern pea souper, or a flood, or an alien microbe invasion who knows maybe just a scare
first the transport would stop, most shops and businesses close, soon the phones and electricity are cut off, then water, how long might you stay?

Where would you go? or Would you let us come and stay, maybe?

mad. sounds nice though. funnily enough i looked that building up recently as it's on the site of the old new river head, where the new river terminates, after posting about it in the what is this thread about woops thread. if i'd just sold a track for 800k i'd snap this up

I can't be sure without checking, but I think this river you are talking about could be the same one iain sinclair frames "Hackney that rose red empire" around. He becomes obsessed with this small underground river and how it defines hackney

New river is the same one i mentioned in the bridges thread, it's not new or a river - it's a 400 year old aqueduct
