The judge smiled. Men are born for games. Nothing else. Every child knows that play is nobler than work. He knows too that the worth or merit of a game is not inherent in the game itself but rather in the value of that which is put at hazard. Games of chance require a wager to have meaning at all. Games of sport involve the skill and strength of the opponents and the humiliation of defeat and the pride of victory are in themselves sufficient stake because they inhere in the worth of the principals and define them. But trial of chance or trial of worth all games aspire to the condition of war for here that which is wagered swallows up game, player, all.

French noise artist Vomir has a manifesto that reads “no dynamics, no change, no development, no ideas".

This is what online discussions I have had with Mr Tea are like too. So it is no longer necessary for me to read what he says. I can predict with relative certainty that on this thread he will post a useless quip fairly rapidly after I have added something.

Perhaps if I am wrong, people can let me know?

Exactly, @Leo - there are two main reactions to this I'm seeing:

The first is remainers and leavers saying "fuck yeah, it's about time somebody stood up to the bosses and stopped the race to the bottom".

The other is remainiacs continuing the massive sulk they have been in since June 24th 2016. Moaning about how everything is terrible, with no vision of a positive future or how to get there.

What will self-driving trucks mean for truck drivers?

"It's a huge opportunity. The biggest impact ATs (autonomous trucks) will have is cost savings and efficiency," says Patrick Penfield, a professor of supply chain practice at Syracuse University in the US.
"The nice thing about ATs is that they'll be able to operate 24 hours a day and drive a consistent mileage rate, making trucks safer and more fuel efficient.
"Freight will arrive at a destination faster. A human truck driver usually takes five days to go from New York to Los Angeles. It'll take an AT 48 hours."
