The fitness thing is basically fascist. We all know it. Deep down we know it is fundamentally a fascist impulse.

Also Joe Rogan, before dissensus I had literally no idea who he was, had never heard the name. Now I have heard the name several times and I know that he's a guy who has some kind of podcast that every single person on dissensus except me listens to (or watches?) every day.

I know me, Corpsey and patty have listened to it, but I dunno who else has. He does have quite a reach though. It's not some obscure thing. He apparently gets around 190 million downloads a month.

Rogan is huge. Have to at least have a sense of who he is to understand Contemporary reality.

Thick as fuck, but, crucially, not malevolent. He doesn't have an agenda. He's too stupid and innocent. Not evil at all.

Yeah I was exaggerating obviously. And since my eyes were opened to him I have seen some people in real life (actually just one in fact) talking about him too.
But WHO is he? Beyond someone who has a podcast I mean.

I dunno the exact order, but he was a (not very good) comedian, worked on a few sitcoms, ended up working for the UFC, did Fear Factor then started doing a podcast years later.

I get that he's massive, but in this fragmented world we live in, it's totally possible for someone to be a huge star to many and unknown to others (I know Kobe Bryant is/was a basketball player but that's it). And going by his resume it's like he picked all the fields that would never have crossed in front of my eyes or ears.

He's big enough now that he's had people like Bernie Sanders and Robert Downey Jr. on. I still can't get my head around people like that having been on the same podcast as a bunch of alien hunters, stoners and Alex Jones.
