We are away in a lovely picturesque tourist town called Tomar.... turns out the restriction on drinking after 8pm only applies in the Lisbon area. I'd heard that before but I didn't really believe it cos it makes no sense - does drinking alcohol after 8pm give you covid or not? I don't understand what's supposed to be different here, the streets and restaurants and bars are packed and there are hundreds of French tourists for some reason. I can only think that the Portuguese government is deliberately trying to infect the French.
