i like this but in the second verse there's a bit where it sounds like someone goes 'i like farting in my sleep', i don't think that's actually what he's saying but that's what i hear, they sound a bit less hard as nails after that if i'm honest

One of my fave artists from this scene released an album late 2022 with horrible cover art.

Most importantly this means that "Turnt" is on Spotify

Like I said earlier, I get where the complaints about sloppy flows come from, that's what I thought at first too, and probably it's true for some of them, but I also think there's something intrinsic to the style which fits with that sort of frantic, almost-haywire rapping. Maybe it would sound good if someone who was totally metronomically perfect rapped over these beats but I think a distinct lack of polish is what makes this music quite exciting. (This is a weird thing to invoke maybe but it makes me think of certain members of / songs by Wu Tang)

Had this thesis confirmed by hearing Cordae on the Dougie B album

You can hear everything he's saying, it's terrbile

Backing you on this. My favourite release out of all of this is the Cash Cobain/Chow Lee one and neither of them can rap really, flows all over the show, but thats kind of the point

What's the story with this guy? His sound seems to be more cloud-rappy than most new york rap (he's from queens)

YTO3 is a group?

This stuff is a bit commercial (albeit in a really weird way) compared to the likes of sha ek et al but I like it a lot
