it makes me feel nice. like theres data leak and contamination of pastoral lyric and the worlds of a child's (literary) imagination; nursery rhymes and nonsense averse and lullabies. the words we learn to dream with (moon, river, sea, treacle!). the first imaginative landscapes we traverse, cut into and smeared with all these icons of a more abstract world.

both prynne and pound have a thing with chinese poetry right? i never read any, but those themes (moon, river, sea, treacle) makes me think of them, although of course, these themes are universal. is it worth getting some li bai books? did you read any luka?

not really tbh. whats interesting about chinese poetry is the impossibility of translating it.

i think you're absolutely right that it is a fundamental influence but that is becuase the closest you can come to literal translations makes them look like what you have there
