one of the big differences is that Ferlinghetti was of below average intelligence and wrote casual off the cuff verse for hippies and other degenerates whereas Prynne is the cleverest boy that ever lived.

How come you hate joyce for writing the unreadable bits of Ulysses but you love Prynne for writing something like that?

Is it cos he keeps it short?

I don't know if I do love that but the reason I typed it out is that it is short

And more generally I think you can question whether Prynne has written any good poems. Arguably not many, but he has invented various interesting effects
