i did this ages ago but have just refound it - brief foray into hieroglyphics, sort of.

A survivalist is teaching me how to produce food from a giant alien.

It works by burning the alien's mouth, which stimulates swelling, which causes blood cells to rush to the wound.

The mouth is then cut open and the cells are eaten.

Now that I see that, makes me think you can just run similar runs, until you get one with a final image that looks sufficiently treelike, then you just reverse the mp4 file so it’s playing backward, leading from a tree to an actual picture of a face.

But can't seem to find a place to pop the face I want in the book is what I mean, bug maybe you need to use their existing dataset of faces only idk. I want it to be my face, or at least a face I can specify.

Well you could just use a photo of your face as the initial image, run however many iterations with input tree/woodgrain/branch/etc and reverse the mp4 file that gets produced. Or if the final image is unsatisfactory, maybe do a second run with the initial image being the final image of the first run. That may let you pivot away from facial features and toward arboreal features.

I’m still just talking about the VQGAN+CLIP notebook, not sure if you were talking about a different one.

You mean my face as initial image and ask it to make it a tree? Yeah I've not even tried that simple tbh. You are probably right. If I send u an image of my face, could u have a go?
