hey dissensians, long time lurker but this is one of my fav chapters of dance music too! here are a few more:

this is quite a white horse clone but goes even more into house territory. very stripped back and functional

5 home runs from Arthur and then nun0 comes out of nowhere for another 3??!

Starting to think this is my favourite corner of music.

Cheeky edit from DJ Harvey. Totally wacky and sublime all at the same time.

Another one from the same release here. It shows up in so many Ron Hardy sets because I think he made an edit of it too (not the first time those two edited the same track) and there's something about it that gets me every time. Couldn't find it on youtube so had to upload it.

Wish I knew what the original was.

David Byrne making some crazy shit for the OST of a film called The Catherine Wheel (not sure whats going on with the thumbnail)

Spooky, jerky, infectious. Love the clav work on this one. All disjointed, rattling along like some escaping victorian vehicle, tearing along a country road at night, on the verge of falling apart.

Tunes like this make you realise there really is nothing new under the sun. Fresh as owt! Show me a dj that would play this in it's entirety. Raw, industrial marching tackle.

The extended dub. What a day it is when you discover those songs you heard on the radio as a kid have a crazy sibling.

there was also a great set of mid-tempo tracks...again not as weird/disco not disco but still

when that first chord comes in...

Good times to be had pretending you're her Chico Favorito. Watch those hi hats on the ears tho. Some say all the coke going around back then had engineers mixing harsh because it acts like a little low pass filter in your ear.

"black" radio and clubs played this in the 80s, probably with no idea about the UK/new romantic/Adam ant scene...

Couple of the Talking Heads formed this little unit at the beginning of the 80s and made some of the most infectious tracks ever. Genius of Love was the most famous and became the hook behind Return of the Mack and Fantasy by Mariah Carey. But, Wordy Rappinghood is the one that does the damage on the dancefloor imo!

A soviet cathedral in the 80s with a bunch of industrial chimneys in the background, pumping their regards into the sky.

That's it for now. Hope they were all within the boundaries!
