ive been getting a bit restless recently. i dunno what i want but this phase of lockdown is not supplying it. i dont like my mates and i diont like ho we spend time together so its not that i want to see them. i tried getting pissed but it didnt feel good. i tried eating a co-op vegetable supreme pizza and it was nice but its not a long term solution to anything. ive gone back on dissensus which is fine but also means being online too much.

a loss of focus generally. drifting a bit now. makes me feel uneasy.

in-between times are often the most unsettling, neither here nor there. not in complete lockdown, but not complete open and safe. like haircuts: cool when short, cool when long, not so cool when half-grown in.

I can't be the only one who felt that this lockdown might ultimately prove good for me. (High hopes of getting into shape. High hopes of finally reading this or that novel. The dawning realisation of the importance of people forcing me to be more outreaching to my friends. )

And now it seems its slowly but surely easing, things are heading back to the missed (but also dreaded) normal, and I've not improved, I've not changed, the time is running out and it's been a disappointment.

yeah, definitely feel a bit of that, at least a few lockdown to-do's that never got done and now feel I won't get another opportunity (until the second wave hits!). I have exercised/lost some weight and managed to save some money from not going out, so at least have that to point to.

what about how they pipe crowd sounds onto the televised football now?
That's some weirdness, but presumably must be the less weird alternative to just no noise just the grunts and whistles

i watch some audience free bloodsport and it makes it much more brutal when you can hear fist and shin and elbow crunching into flesh and bone.

they were just letting this old guy who looked like Tim Westwood get repeatdly whacked in the face by a younger stronger man. time and time and again. hes definitely badly brain damaged now. his face was all mashed up all out of shape and covered in blood and brusies. but no cheering and shouting and whooping and laughing. just the sound of the impacts.
