they do the same thing on RuPaul's Drag Race as they did at The Last Supper - they have a massive table and they all only sit on one side of it.

"Hiya, I'd like to reserve a table for 26 people please. No, there's only going to be 13 of us but we all want to be in a picture together."

dawned on me today that my life in the past year has been training for life in a nursing home: wake up, eat breakfast, putz around a bit, eat lunch, putz around a bit more, have dinner, watch a little telly, go to bed. then do the same thing tomorrow, and the day after.

old.

in normal times, you'd be out and about, going to shows, galleries, museums, movie theaters, bars, restaurants, hanging with friends, visiting family, traveling on vacation. all the stuff that's been too much of a pain in the ass, restricted or non-existent in the past year.

I dunno, I look forward to doing them again. the thing that feels pointless to me now is clothes shopping. I used to enjoy picking up a new pair of shoes, a new jacket, etc. now I've gone a year not spending a penny on clothes and realize I've lost interest in what's new.

who knows, that interest might come back when things return to normal. I suspect I might like clothes more than some other people, particular guys.

like a character in a Russian novel "versionyvich's greatcoat was shabby and worn smooth the pockets had fallen out and only one brass button remained"

or it can be seen as timeless classic, designed and made to last.

he had just one servant a sour smelling bent backed old peasant woman with a glass eye"

version's not a slave to the passing whimsy of fashion trends, steeped instead in classic British styles and tailoring that last a lifetime.
