Nice to see you wanking yourself off into a froth this morning Luka, I hope it's satisfying.

Corbyn, sure. He's gone. He only matters now to the extent that we will NOT allow him to be thrown under the bus. Even if it'd have been better if he'd just kept his mouth shut.

Bullshit. It's always the left that ends up making compromises. Corbyn's first shadow cabinet was "broad church", until the right all walked out, unwilling to "make an accommodation with the compromises needed to become an attractive, electable party". And we still nearly won in 2017.

And the right are at it again right now.

This is why I wrote it's a bit boring to chat about now. We've all got our respective positions and I can't imagine we'd give them up. Glad you see that Corbyn should just keep his mouth shut though. I read something the other day indicating that even allies like McDonnell and Lansman agree that he's the problem (can't remember what it was though now, lost in the mists of twitter).

I personally can see the virtue in booting him out the party - he's worked at undermining every Labour leader since Michael Foot, and will just do more of the same - but I recognise that'd be very provocative, and idk if the rules sanction it.

And Jon, idk if I've ever called Labour Stalinist here. If I had I'd be referring to Seamus Milne and fellow travellers, their propensity to give Putin a pass, excuse war crimes, providing cover when British citizens are murdered with nerve agents etc. All this is a bit more serious than trying to make CLPs grow up a bit.

we've all got the right to express our opinions and mine is he should have his skin peeled off then dunk him in boiling vinegar.

There's always loads of rhetorical violence coming from the Left. A Corbyn fan closely avoided jail this week for the same kinda thing, but directed to Jews. As I said above, I find it stupid and depressing. I know you're just venting but I do think what chance of ever getting a change of government if that's the go to happy place of a lot on the Left? Look under any article about Starmer - it's not normally expressed in language as colourful as yours but the sentiment is the same.

I just know what I like and what I don't like. I'm not really into the fine detail of stuff.

It's always the left that ends up making compromises.
Greenwald recently said something along these lines re: Bernie. He said the left shouldn't give an inch as whenever they do it gives credence to the centrist line of attack and gives them license to keep hammering the same point. They have no intention of ever working with the left. They're just perpetually on the lookout for the next line of attack. He offered the "Bernie Bros" thing as an example. Once they managed to force Bernie to address the small number of his supporters hounding people then they just beat him with it over and over and acted as though these people were exclusive to the left when there are plenty of vile people in the centre, probably moreso given the relative size of the two groups, who do the same to figures on the left and who are never acknowledged by the media because they're on the same side and don't target each other.

Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, a senior official in the Jewish Voice For Labour group, has been suspended by Labour following a JC report on her conduct in a meeting of Chingford and Woodford Green Labour Party.

The JC understands that Ms Wimborne-Idrissi, who is vice-chair of the East London CLP, and the chair, Gary Lafley, have been informed they are administratively suspended from Sir Keir Starmer’s party pending an investigation.

Something floated across my Twitter feed earlier from Jewish Chronicle I think, talking about this and a vile atmosphere at a recent CLP meeting.

Also saw a graphic slagging off the Lab front bench for not signing a letter condemning the deportations, neglecting to mention it was a backbenders letter and convention is that frontbencers don't sign them. From Evolve Politics who've always been pretty awful.
