Apart from the fact you think they both have terrible taste and are terrible people what else makes you think they'll like it?

at the core of it like alot of those guys he just makes punchline rap(he's got a thing for making fun of people who work specific working hours), somebody on thecoli said how his thing is that he makes sure his lyrics are long enough to be a IG Caption which makes sense.

but also the fact that like he's got a larger than life cartoon character personality and the kind of beats he raps over and he's done a few of those tracks that cram 15-20 different beats into 4 minutes , he's managed to carve his own lane what he plans to do with it i don't know but he's done it

but the main reason is the humour i mean the guy was or still is a part of a crew called Shittyboyz that's more than enough to turn some people into fans

Corpsey

bandz ahoy
Quite hard to judge that Shittboyz stuff without being prejudiced by the videos which I've now seen

Is this guy to detroit/bay area rap what Riff Raff was to Atlanta rap?

nah he's nowhere near the grotesque spectacle that Riff Raff was

he's a better rapper than Riff Raff for one

on a different note i'd be interested to know what some people in here think of Vory, i wasn't sure whether to put this in new rap or Kanye since he's on DONDA and a pretty big collaborator of Kanye's so why not pass it on

what i've heard is ok i've seen some people say that he made a Post Malone album which i can't really speak on because i don't want to listen to him to confirm but i saw somebody compare his singing style to Tracy Chapman which had me laughing cause i can hear it
on first listen potentially a bit overwrought, those strings and that acoustic guitar make me run for cover. into that mega reverb on the vocals though.

yknow @luka thinking about your comment on Future for the last couple days and i'd be interested to know your top rappers over the last 15 years,i don't ask this to line you up for mockery or anything of the sort i GENUINLY would be interested to know

also if you try to "going down the pub" your way out of this i'll dedicate a thread to it because i know feeling oblidged to do things makes you uncomfortable lol

pass the sick bucket
Gunplay had potential if he wasn't tarnished with his coke habit, a record company deal which didn't push him in interesting directions and better beat producers (probably the biggest letdown.) I am tempted to prefer Gunplay aesthetically but when you bring up the future comparison it's like, his production was just heaps above gunplay, even in the True Story era.

But then most UK rap fans only focus on one side of that equation. But the best hip hop is always musically defining production and reproduction, imo.

all these plus getting punched up on camera 3 times AND nearly going pen for life and the fact that alot of his best songs and ideas are littered about on mixtapes
