There are four elements of crane:

1. Vertical
2. Horizontal (or angle)
3. Line
4. Weight/Counter balance

You could add a fifth: cargo

At night, the lights from the cranes are a constellation. They point out a way. But the strange thing is that the lights are not white like stars, they're red.

There are different apexes. There are different lights.

In the night they're up and in the day they're down.

Hands in the air, red light on top.

The Tau, the Franciscan cross, is the shape of the crane. It's a headless cross. Head's gone, or hanging down.

It's not human, it's the machine rather than the body.

Now, in this smog, the cranes themselves disappear and the lights alone are left. Red lights suspended in the rain. I expected to see the cranes disappear at night, but not in the day time.
